Muriatic acid? That's a preparation of hydrochloric acid. When I had my
stained glass business, I used it for etching and frosting window glass. I
wore acid-proof gloves, goggles and a respirator.

ArmourAll? And your *mouth* is what color now...?

Kidding, sorta, but sheesh, guys, please, never wash out a rubber (or
plastic) mouthpiece in anything that's got Mr. Yuck or a skull and
crossbones on the label. How do you know you've diluted it *enough*? How
do you know (except the hard way) whether you've really rinsed every bit of
it off afterwards? I've had mediocre results with vinegar, but better a
green mouthpiece than a dead musician. Okay, let's say you're not really
most sincerely dead, but twirling the ligature around your index finger,
putting the reed up your nose, hopping around like a bunny and singing,
"We're Off to See the Wizard!" in a falsetto?
