Maybe they are trained as mansur neyzenler (players of the alto reed flute):
it takes some time to get accustomed to the stretch on this one. But then
again they don't cover the holes with the fingertips but spread the fingers
across the holes, which helps, though probably not so much on an Oehler
system clarinet of any size (a proper Oehler low-G? With Bb/f machine?
Really?). I have tried several (lousy) low G's but never found the stretch
particularly bad.
By the way, I greatly enjoy playing my antique open tonehole ALTO clarinets!

Amati makes an Oehler System G clarinet. I played one at a recent NAMM show
and the right hand spread was impossible for me. The Turkish players must
dislocate their knuckle joints!
