Subject: [kl] Something very different
For my upcoming 45th wedding anniversary plus my wife's birthday,
I decided to get something special. So I had a long talk with
Bob Whiteside who is a clarinet playing designer of jewelry and
he made up a brooch and a matching pair of earings.
But I told him that I wanted a musical theme, in fact a basset
horn theme.
Take a look on http://www.robertwhiteside.com/
That's the home page and stay on it. Towards the bottom Bob has
put up some new commissions. Mine is right on top. I asked him
to make the basset horn in G so that I could do the Mozart
concerto on it in Mozart's original key!!
The opals that festoon the piece are part of a long series of
purchases I made because I love opals.
Don't say anything to my wife. She won't see the piece until
next Thursday.
