Just like a Chicagoan to say "northern suburb of IL," rather than "northern
suburb of CHICAGO!" You guys are as bad as Bostonians
sometimes! :-) (Said the native of Belleville, IL, way down in the
generally ignored SOUTHERN end of the state, right near St. Louis.)

By the way, this summer I will be moving BACK to Belleville, which I left
to perform my military service (for 20 years as it turned out, leaving me
stranded in Michigan for the last 10). I will be looking for both gigs
(paid or otherwise) AND a day job!
