On the contrary, I think the recommendation to talk to his regular tech
*was* pretty much saying that someone needs to see and diagnose the problem
first hand. Of course, we can't do it over the Internet. As for taking
"[taking] a hacksaw to the keywork of his instrument," it certainly doesn't
need to come to that, and a competent tech should be able to find a more
refined solution, if indeed he and Nicholas decide that a mechanical change
to the keywork seems warranted.
