I've been following this thread with interest. There has been no
mention or questioning about what Nicholas Yip's hands and finger
positions might be, about what his fingering patterns he has been use
to using or what his actual finger length and hand spread is.

Doing diagnostics via the internet with limited information poses many
problems. If someone were to call me on the phone and ask for such
advice, I'd want to set up an appointment so I could actually see what
is going on.

Rather than let us all speculate and grope in the dark for answers, I
humbly suggest to Nicholas that he schedule an appointment with someone
who is well equipped to give him sound answers before he or a repairman
take a hacksaw to the keywork of his instrument.
