Well there have been a number of good answers on this, despite the fact
that I think we're all having trouble visualizing the problem. But are
you saying you have to push it too far or too hard ? If the problem is
excessive travel it might just be a matter of adjustment. It may be that
the F#/C# pad is opening more than it should and you just need to add
some cork or felt to the appropriate side of the crow's foot in the r.h.
pinkie keys. It's easy enough to check this, just slowly ease up on the
F#/C# key while holding the r.h. F/C key down and note at what point
pitch or tone quality goes bad.
