I should have told you why I posted my pro-quaver arguments a few days
ago. Many moons ago when I had first looked at the piece, I took it to
my then-teacher and he said to me, "I think you're playing that section
a little slowly aren't you?" He looked at the metronome mark and said,
"Yes, that's obviously meant to be a dotted crotchet."

.... And the first he'd heard of the Bernstein Sonata was when I came
into the lesson and said, "I've got this new piece I want to look at..."
