Don,

Ha! On the Bundy, the shiny corks are even and everything fits nicely (no=

more having the bell fall off intermittently) and the pads - none falling
out, no sticky sounds, no air hissing where there shouldn't be and none of=

them are fuzzy=2E This clarinet also had it's share of elementary through=

college adventures; concerts, parades, football games and exhange trips=2E=
=20
Never tried submersing it, though, does that help?? :o)

The Pourcelle didn't need as much work since it was used mainly for inside=

concerts and sunny graduations=2E Adjustment on one rod, one tenon cork
replaced and the whole thing cleaned=2E (and shiny <g>) It's a darker wo=
od
(I'm not sure what kind) and heavy, I'd forgotten just how heavy it is=2E =
It
served me well from 7th grade through college, when I stopped playing=2E=20=

(I'd moved to MN and didn't know there were such things as community bands=
=2E)

Now I figure it will serve me just as well as I "re-learn" clarinet and
perhaps play it in the community band where I currently pass myself off as=

a flutist=2E

Anything else? Ask specifics and I'll answer when I have the clarinet in
front of me=2E

Peace,=20

No, but - you're the first person I've seen mention they have a Pourcelle
clarinet of any kind=2E I passed on a chance to buy a couple but am curiou=
s
what they are like=2E
I know, I may be wasting bandwidth but you mentioned something I'm
interested in=2E I want to ask about shiny corks and pads, but not until I=

know what your sense of humor is like=2E I had a Bundy student clarinet, a=
nd
while it wasn't the greatest clarinet on earth, it survived eleven years,
approx one hundred football halftime shows, countless outdoor rehearsals i=
n
wind rain and snow and brutal heat, being dropped while in and out of its
case several times, submersion in a fountain in Mexico City=2E and about f=
ive
repads=2E I laid it to rest in my attic when I left college and didn't nee=
d an
outdoor clarinet anymore=2E
