I would like to tell you about a new work of mine for woodwind quintet.
"In Praise of Music" was premiered on Nov. 15, 2003 in San Francisco by
the Golden Gate Wind Quintet. The work is now available through Co-op
Press. The inspiration comes from "The Musicians Yearbook of 1895".
This book contains a saying about music for each day of the year. Eight
of them have been selected for their content and the ability to create
contrast between the eight movements. College level. Duration 20
minutes. You can sample this work and my other compositions for
