Alto sax reeds work great for alto clarinet, too. In fact, blasphemously
or otherwise, I've almost stopped using alto clarinet reeds. Since my alto
is a Selmer, it projects pretty well to begin with; but the saxophone reeds
give it even more carrying power and bring the tone quality closer to that
of a Bb clarinet .
