Well, British flautists would have to play with the window open. It
might take a bit of breath to overcome the effect of the airstream on
the outboard end of the flute especially over 80 mph or so.
Playing the trumpet would certainly not be a problem. Playing directly
into the windshield might give the trumpeters some hint as to what those
who customarily sit in front of them experience. I think that this
should be encouraged, especially on twisty mountain roads with
drop-offs. Come to think of it trombonists should be encouraged to try
too.
