It's funny you should say that. One of the recordings I have in my
collection is Sviatoslav Richter's famous "Sofia Recital" where he plays the
Mussorgsky Pictures at an Exhibition.

There are wrong notes throughout this performance, from the very
beginning---but I have a feeling that the performance is better for having
those errors in it. Not because they sound "better" but because in order to
remove those wrong notes from his performance Richter would have had to do
something which would have taken away from the wider quality of his
interpretation.
