For those who sell things on ebay, remember that the cost of selling
anything is, first, the cost of inserting the advertisement, and that is a
function of the price of the item. I hope that the seller is able the get
ebay to make the correction or else he is on the hook for a lot of money.
They probably will, but when it comes to money, ebay is very unforgiving!! I
once put a valuable manuscript up for sale and estimated its sale price at a
minimum of $6,000. The item did not sell, but I was on the hook for a lot
of commission just for the advertisement.
