This is not the only case I have seen of a Steve Allen picture substituted
for BG's. I have seen a music book in our sheet music department that has
a picture of the "Ben Pollack Orchestra" on the front of it. It is really
Pollack at the drums, but the shot is from "The Benny Goodman Story" and
ol' Steve-a-rino is playing clarinet! I cracked up when I saw it!

Gee-whiz trivia follows: Glenn Miller, among other future stars, also
played in the Pollack band, which was one of the best dance bands of
pre-swing era. And when Goodman joined it, he replaced Miller's old
roommate, Ted McGinty. McGinty later changed his name to Mack and achieved
fame as host of the Amateur Hour on radio and TV.

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is TOO LOUD!
