Interesting. I have the aforementioned CD set and never noticed the picture
that closely.
The clarinet is pictured correctly (with his right hand grasping the
clarinet on the lower section).
The set is nice and was reasonably priced. It's digitally remastered, with a
1998 copyright.
There's 40 tracks, 10 of which were live recordings.

The poster I have of Steve Allen playing Benny Goodman also has been
reversed,
making the whole clarinet backwards - right hand on top, etc. Was the one
you
saw reversed?
