Bear doesn't need my defense, but I am giving it anyway. What =
experience do you have with his music? Every time that he has posted =
that he has something new, I have taken the time to ask for copies and =
have spent considerable time learning his music. No, he isn't Mozart, =
but since when did Mozart ever win a Pulitzer? I can assure you that it =
takes a great amount of skill to write the pieces of his that I have =
played, in addition to many practice hours to master playing his style =
of writing. And if you are on any other lists, there are a number of =
them that have people playing his pieces too. I have a favorite, =
"Flitter Critters", that I am quite certain would give many on this list =
a workout, and that would include you. His compositions have given me =
an understanding of the art of the fugue that I never had. Don't be so =
ready to close your mind simply because the signature isn't Mozart's.
