Which brings us to a very important question. How do some repair tech's get
away with charging such exorbitant prices? Especially when everyone can get
EQUALLY high quality work in ANY major market area. Let's face it folks,
Clarinet repair work (and instrument repair work in general) is not "rocket
science" (sorry). I fully admit there are many more butchers and a just
adequate repair tech's out there than good and great ones, but all it takes
is a little research, and you will be able to locate a good or even great
tech (who charges reasonable prices!). Just for the fun of it, check out our
repair prices at:
www.musictrader.com/repair.html to see what are the going rates here in the
Seattle area.

If you are forced to deal with a repair tech who bullies you, or intimidates
you, or charges you sky-high prices, dump his glutis maximus immediately.
There are PLENTY of nice, great, reasonably-priced tech out there.

Best Regards,
Lars Kirmser
