"Hard-on" was asexual in connection with my use. I don't know whether you or
male or female, nor do I care - sexuality or sexual connotations have no
relevance here. "Hard-on" was used in a conversational manner - indicating
that you "had it in for" .

Let's stay on point here - you haven't answered the question about why you
flew to Chicago and spent money needlessly, when you could have had the
clarinet returned to you through an alternate address.

The Brannens policy of not return-shipping to NYC is well known. Several
NYC residents have complained about the policy, their reaction being
understandable. However, if one has to use their services - alternate
routing is readily available.
