you point this out ..."

WRONG & very unfair! Everything that you have heard thus far is HEARSAY to
you. You have judged another on unproven testimony. No attempt to sort out
facts was made.
My family & friends have used the Brannens for many years. Personally, I
have had 10+ overhauls performed by Bill & Linda Brannen. Never a problem,
hard to believe - all those overhauls & repairs have involved shipping to &
fro'. Frankly, anything is possible. Picking up a Clarinet in Evanston @
the "shop with no signs". Aside from being blown away by the autographed
photos of "Clarinet Icons" who extol the virtues of the Brannens; aside
from being accorded respect & care - no rush. Do the Brannens work on
appointment - YES - I (& others) find that very professional.
Impeccable, knowledgeable, creative, innovative, caring, down to earth &
honest. Masters with crack & tonehole repair. Brannen Pads are the finest
known to Clarinetists. (Ask a master professional like Clark Fobes what he
thinks - he has been quoted as stating that Brannen custom pads are 2nd to
none!)
The Brannens work doesn't come cheaply - they are no different than experts
in other walks of life. There desire to work on specified makes & models is
understood.
YES, the Brannens may pose a problem for Clarinetists - what will we do when
they retire ? There are many wannabe's who attack them on price, etc.
I am sorry that someone had a problem. If you don't know the true & correct
circumstances behind someone else's problem - you can't "choose up sides" !
best,
