I'm particularly partial to Henle for their research and the quality of
the finished product. You can get more information on them and on
Urtext in general at www.henle.com. Their Beethoven and Debussy
offerings are quite extensive.

Long known in the piano and string world, they've now released some
important new editions for wind players. We are particularly excited
about their new editions of the Weber Concertino as well as the Concerto
# 2 for clarinet. There is also a new edition of the Mozart Clarinet
Concerto with parts for Clarinet in A as well as for Basset Horn. I
haven't had a chance to really look at this one to compare it with the
Barenreiter version of the Mozart which my customers have preferred to
date.

April sees Henle as "Publisher of the Month" with special discounts at

Subject: [kl] Urtext editions for Beethoven and Debussy

Hello all,

Can anyone recommend good urtext editions of works by Beethoven and
Debussy? I'm thinking in general, not looking for specific works
(although a good urtext of the Beethoven trios and Debussy Premiere
Rhapsody would be nice)---and I'm thinking of their piano works as well
as clarinet stuff! ;-)

Thanks in advance,

-- Joe
