After some consideration, I think that riding a bass clarinet while
playing quidditch would be a bad idea. The keywork on a bass is
already difficult to keep in adjustment. To ride a bass without
bending the rods.... Can you imagine how wildly the instrument would
careen and veer when the pads don't close properly? Malfoy wouldn't
need to do anything at all, he could just perch on his broomstick and
watch and laugh.
