With respect to Kelly's question about Ebony: I am only speculating, but I
bet they are just being sloppy. I think your list of woods with their real
species names is a more precise usage than most people, even manufacturers in
their literature (?), are accustomed to. In other words, ebony probably means
grenadilla. I say this because I've heard people use the words interchangeably.

And I'm always interested in 'alternative' makers. I'm glad Orsi is being
discussed. They sure have a different approach to some of their instruments.
They must be a large maker, but obviously we North Americans don't talk about
them much. I'll be curious if our European or Australian members will have
Orsi experiences.
