Nancy,

I got a notice once for Jury duty that was going to interfere with a
vacation that was planned and paid for in Montgomery County.

Give AA county if it county jury duty or MD is it is Maryland jury duty and
explain your situation and they will work with you, as they will give you
the options of a time period that is good for you, as they wont let you out,
but give a time window, when all your planned activities are done and you
will be surprise on what they will do for you.

Another time I had State duty in Baltimore the week of the Baltimore Orioles
All Star game in 1993 and since I live in Germantown, I wanted to stay over,
as they will pay for that, but all hotels were booked! They let me off,
completely.

Call them, they will work with you.

They don't want to make you life miserable in doing this civic duty.
