Subj: [kl] a family of clarinettists
Date: Tue, 23 Mar 2004 18:38:40 -0500

The Christensens are not the only family of clarinettists: In Hoogezand in
the North of the Netherlands lives John de Beer, who is a teacher of
clarinet. His wife is an amateur clarinettist, his daughter studies clarinet
with the Utrecht Conservatory (she has a really beautiful tone), her
boyfriend started claribass last October after meeting Paolo de Gaspari, and
John's son is also considering to go to the Utrecht Conservatory to study
clarinet.

A big difference with the Christensens however is, that this family is not
yet able to perform.

BTW, if you pronounce "Beer" the English way, your wrong. In Dutch what is
written "ee" is pronounced more or less like "ai" in "hail

"Rien
