Erik,

It is sad that today kids are asking for double orders of fries, when in a
chain like Friendly's or Perkins in the States, like for the entree and
instead of a green vegetable and a serving of fries the kids want a double
order of fries!

And the reason this has gotten out of hand with people, goes back to
McDonald's starting the supersizing because it is very profitable to the
chain, as fries and soft drinks are the two biggest profit makers in the
restaurant business each costing the place's about 2 cent an oz and a large
is about 3 to 4 ozs. But, don't ever open a restaurant! Too many
headaches!

And, when watching the U of Alabama Birmingham vs. Kentucky NCAA, and for
the overseas people, National Colligete Athletic Association and the College
Basketball tournament, they showed the five clarinet student players and
they were all grossly overweight, that is going to hurt them later in light,
as they were anywhere from 18 to 22. Overweight doesn't come overnight and
it doesn't go away overnight too! They have time to change the eating
habits and get going with things like walking a half a day to burn those
calories. Very sad what is going on today. Maybe we should have a show
Survivor, The 1700's. See if they can do that, as they chop wood, made
their own food, etc.

Ya know, one has to wonder. I took my 10-year old son to a 99 the other day
(family restaurant chain), and other than the kids meals, the only burger
they serve is 10 oz. We split one. I remember when an 8 oz burger was
considered huge.
