Actually, in Ohio, if you hit and kill a deer with your car, you are
allowed to take it home to eat. However, you are legally required to
first get it tagged by the fish & wildlife folks. This law is meant to
prevent people from intentionally running down deer to avoid getting a
hunting license. (And no, I am NOT making this up . . .)
