I got a really nice answer on this Strauss piece from a nice person in
Germany, who runs a www.richard-stauss.org website.

He even gave me a title for a CD to try.

I am particular to DG label for the quality.

Dear Mike, in any case it's the Duet Concertino. If you can get the
following recording (this is copied from Amazon.com ) then I think this is
the best one. (I was a horn player so I am biased also towards Vienna
Instruments) the clarinet playing is superb and enviably different. If not,
there are other versions available. You might be able to get this one second
hand on eBay if you have the patience to wit long enough J
