In Michigan, if you hit and kill a DEER, you CAN keep it, but you have to
pay for the hunting license! I got one this year, using my large-caliber
hunting weapon (4.3-liter Chevy Astro). And, no, I chose NOT to keep
it. I got one a couple of years ago that (miraculously) did no visible
damage to the truck. A guy who was coming the other way and saw it happen
claimed the carcass when I offered it to him.
