I heard a clarinet-bassoon duet with a Orchestra, that I believe was written
by Richard Strauss in the 1940's and it was about a Girl (clarinet) and a
bear (bassoon) as the girl got lost in the woods. I don't remember the
outcome, but the piece was very good, as I would to find this on a CD.
I search a site for Richard Strauss and came up with this title, as it a
duet with a clarinet in the 1940's and the other instrument I can not figure
out since I don't read German.
"Duett-Concertino in F-Dur für Klarinette und Fagott mit Streichorchester
und Harfe "
Could this be a Bassoon?
Anyone know of the piece I am talking about, as I heard Loren Kitt of the
NSO in D.C. play it a concert in 2002, he did the Concerto in A too. The
Bassoonist was a PhD from George Mason U in VA.
Thanks for any help.
