Walter -
I have no experience shipping instruments via FedEx, but I can tell you that
I've shipped everything from a piccolo to a bari sax to a tuba by UPS and
USPS for twenty years and had only one bad experience, but it was the fault
of the person shipping me a Selmer MK VI alto sax...they didn't pack it
carefully, didn't use enough bubble wrap and foam peanuts, and the sax was
damaged in transit. I still use UPS, they are excellent. USPS does just as
well, I've shipped all over the world with both services.
