Forest,

First of all, since you chose to send your response to the list, I am
obligated to respond in kind. That you should be offended by the Word of God
and not by the cursing of man is a sad thing. But you mis-understand my
posts. I am presenting no point for argument and no philosophy for debate. I
am stating a fact. If you desire to disagree, you are free to do so, but no
reputable scholar should begin with the absurdity.of treating any sacred
text as an obscenity. Tha't like playing a clarinet with drumsticks. As it
says in Romans 3:4 "May it never be! Rather, let God be found true, though
every man be found a liar, as it is written, 'THAT YOU MAY BE JUSTIFIED IN
YOUR WORDS, AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED.'"

The Scriptures also speak against "arguing about words to no profit," (2
Tim. 2:14) so think about what you are defending before you begin. And lest
the accusation be made about shoving one's religion down anyone's throat,
bear this in mind. I have made no effort whatsoever to force anyone to
accept what I say or believe as I do, anymore than one who prefers VanDoren
reeds over Gonzalez and says so makes that attempt. Such an action would be
disrespectful of all parties involved, including God.
