 And so we depart on a journey into the Dark Ages again.  Separatism never
 works.  I suppose if you had two kids and one was developmentally delayed,
 you wouldn't allow them to live in the same house together because the slow
 one would interfere with the development of the "normal" one?  People are
 people and sorting them into neat little piles only causes hard feelings
 and unfulfilled lives.  Wake up.  You need to spend some time with these
 "slow" ones and see just what they 'can' do.  Come on up here where I teach
 and I will be happy to let you compete with the four 'special' students in
 my college classes.  One of them is autistic and can't speak, but he might
 just be able to run circles around you in my class.  These kids are polite,
 well- mannered and come ready to learn in EVERY class, which is more than I
 can say for some of the other 'normal' students in my classes.
