You might want to check out something like Combo Classics from the Big
Band Era.

Gershwin, N eal Hefti, Cole Porter, Hoagy Carmichael, Kurt Weill and

Hello list!

I'm starting up a student-based jazz/funk band out of amateurs. I am
myself an amateur multi-instrumentalist with percussion as main
instrument and clarinet as second.

My question (Even though I'm aware that this isn't maybe the best list
to ask, it's still the only musical list I'm part of.) is if anyone
knows where I could get hold of -good- arrangements for a small band
(8-12)? I need a tune that most people know, so it'll be easy to play
from scratch as these are not professional players, and also I don't
want to pay for an arrangement without knowing if it's any good. Any
helpful tips at all, or should I ask around somewhere else?
