The commonly used set-up in the Netherlands and also in Germany for the
German brands of bass clarinets (Oehler and reform-B=F6hm system - =
mostly
Wurlitzer), is the smaller german bass clarinet mouthpiece. Absolutely
needed because of German basses are significantly smaller bored as the
common French brands. Commonly used mouthpieces are from H. Zinner or =
H.
Wurlitzer playable with german reeds (e.g. Steuer), available in two =
sizes:
small and somewhat broader, but both sizes significantly smaller as the
French B=F6hm type.=20

<<There differences in measurements between Boehm and German System. =
For
example some German Bass clarinet players use the Boehm alto clarinet =
reeds
on German mouthpieces. This was to give You an idea of the =
measurements.>>

I have an acquaintance here in Chicago who plays a Wurlitzer bass =
clarinet.
I=20
played a couple of concerts with him and he sounds wonderful. He told =
me=20
that, basically, he uses an alto clarinet mouthpiece and alto clarinet =
reeds
on=20
his instrument.
