Subj: [kl] Commercial Msg....Special bass clarinet mthps with 1.90 tips

Please excuse the nature of this commercial message.

However, it does represent an opportunity for those bass clarinet players who
want a superb mouthpiece, but with a more open tip than is often available.

Working with a batch of Selmer C* mouthpieces that I received recently, I
have two mouthpieces that are out of my normal spec. I normally offer my CX_BS
mouthpiece with a tip opening from 1.74 to 1.80. Both of these came at 1.90.
After I normalized the facings a bit, and did my other internal stuff, I found
that both of these mouthpiece play superbly. Thus, I am reluctant to close them
up to 1.80 or less -- which would involve removing a lot of material and might
take away from the lovely response of these two mouthpieces.

I cannot sell them as my regular CX_BS mouthpiece as they do not conform to
my published spec.

However, I am often asked for mouthpieces in the 1.90 + range, especially by
those who play jazz/pop/klezmer rather than classical.

So, If you are one of those who want the more open tip, and are interested
please contact me off-list.
