In all the years I have been buying and selling instruments, it has been MY
experience that you should always be able to get 35% off the retail
price. If you can get more, that is even better. People make a living
selling instruments and are entitled to a fair profit. Keep that in mind
when figuring what you want to pay. If you offer a fair price and the
sales staff/seller doesn't want to deal, say thanks and go somewhere
else. If you land the deal, make sure the instrument is in playing
condition. That should be included in that fair price.
