I read somewhere titles are not copyright-able unless somehow the title
can be considered a trademark. Thus I could write a "Piano Concerto
No. 1" or "Elephant Walk" despite both having been done already. Does
anybody here know the accurate answer to this?
It's nonsense, of course; but if I were writing this opera, my title
would be at least partly serious, yet hint of something 'warped'. I
would choose "The Marriage of Ormondtoby Montoya".
