I see nothing wrong with putting as much information as you can think of on
the auction page. This is why we even put measurements (even though they
are also relative, as everyone's tools are even different!) and other
things. I tell people to email me if they have questions, because maybe I
might leave something out that I didn't think of. I don't have the memory
of a 20 year old anymore, lol.

But as for personal info - sometimes, in the professional world, in order to
gain a more wide reputation you must put forth to the public. I don't care
how many eBay names you have, if they all belong to the same guy, that's
what they should show. Walter is entirely correct for doing things his
way. He is building his business. Same with Dave. Terry wants me to
develop a website for him, it will include everything necessary to run his
business. Hell, his info is already in the Union book, so it's out there
anyway. Many of us are in there.

This whole thread (or two) started because my husband is naive. He does
not know about dealing with snakes. He is an artist. He lives to play the
freaking horn. There are several people on this list who know him and can
vouch for that. This is why I do the eBay stuff for the most part. A lot
of older artists tend to resist technology - you would have cracked up had
you heard most of the faculty at West Chester when they got computers and
 email!!!!

But also Terry doesn't automatically assume that people who want to do
business with him wouldn't be honest. He also wants people to deal with him
as someone to work on mouthpieces, now that he is retired from teaching, to
get referrals - and believes that honesty on his part (and not purposeful
diguise) should be the best policy. SO if that is an awful trait, then
well, bite me. It might not be good for buying on eBay, but professional
people know how to deal with each other without screwing each other over.
It's a trait of having some class, I guess.

People who do what Taxispaz did, deserve to have crappy feedback, deserve to
be blocked buyers. Which I did (with both names). Someone said
"conn-o-sax" deals with saxes - well, CON-o-sax wrote to me about wanting to
buy two CLARINET mouthpieces, not sax mouthpieces. So there goes that
philosophy. CON-o-sax was trying to scam us AGAIN - maybe because he
realized that he scammed someone that might actually have something he wants
sometime. And we are always finding sax mouthpieces, and I always put them
 on eBay. So there.

So THAT is the epitome of Stupid. Biting the hand that feeds you.

BTW Bill Hausmann, didn't I sell you that Carl Fischer A that you like so
 much? LOL :)

 Lynn
