The Omega/Prologue, judging from Selmer's own literature, appears to share
the same bore design (.567" reverse cone) as the Series 10S II , but it has
a fixed thumb rest and different case. List price is $2377. The sale
price at our store right now is $1206 (information only -- we don't do mail
order sales). That is a VERY good price, but we have been having trouble
moving them. Everybody seems to want to express their individualism by
buying the same horn everybody ELSE has, the R-13!

I personally play an older Selmer Series 10 (since 1973) and like it just
fine. I have recently replaced its fixed thumb rest with a Kooiman Etude
thumb rest, and have grown quite fond of it. And the Kooiman costs
considerably LESS than retrofitting the Selmer adjustable thumb rest!

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is TOO LOUD!
