Walter, the solution to your discomfort in fact may be totally inadvisable
for someone else. Ever heard of identity theft, ever heard of misuse of
information?

Many credit card & banks offer this SAME advice. Don't provide any
information in advance of another person or entity needing it. names,
telephone numbers, addresses should be given out in auction environment when
the EXCHANGE commences.

eBay offers full information disclosure on every eBay member, available to
Seller & Winning Bidder for a SPECIFIC transaction. eBay will deby a
request to provide that same information in the event there is NOT a closed
transaction.

Thus, what makes you feel good or gives you a more comfortable feeling - is
the BANE of others.

The age-old rule works here: If you have doubts cvontact the seller by email
which is easy enough. Request/ask for a 1 on 1 discussion in whatever
medium suits you. Telephone, further emails, references, etc. It's easy
enough without providing very personal information on a webpage which may be
misused.
