Hey Fred,

Sorry if I was overly-sharp, you caught me at an off moment.... ;-)

What made me "jump" was that I was concerned about "hard reeds = good sound
[especially in alt.]" which ain't necessarily so. A friend produces
marvellous results with (in his words) "the softest one or two reeds out of
a box of strength 3".

Variety, spice of life, and other assorted phrases .... ;-)
