Buying AND selling on eBay can be interesting. I've learned, and probably
some others here, to do as someone said earlier...salivate but don't hit
that "Buy-It-Now" button. On the flip side, you get more than you bargain
for occasionally. I bought a nice Selmer BT a year ago that was in great
shape, and after a repad is a hot jazz clarinet, incredible. But the good
part - when I first opened the case, tucked underneath an old swab were a
Stowell-Schneider mouthpiece and a Brilhart Ebolin mouthpiece, both around
fifty years old (or more) and in mint condition. I paid $200.00 for the BT,
and so I felt I should offer the guy extra for the mouthpieces to be fair.
Turns out he was an antique dealer selling the BT for a friend, and 200.00
was all the guy wanted for it, so he said the mouthpieces were no extra. I
also bought a trombone from a lady that had been hanging on the wall of a
jazz club in Baltimore, for $30.00. It turned out after some cleaning to be
a nice Olds Super Bone. But I've been burned once as well.
As for Taxijazz, check out this other item he's offering for sale...someone
buy it so we can get a look at this guy...

If a Clarinet snapped in half and was "glued together" would you not want to
know that too? I'd get the shipping back on that MP as well - it shouldn't
cost you anything for that reject.
