Does anybody know which pharmacies in the Washington, D. C. area of
northern Virginia still sell USP anhydrous lanolin? People have
recommended it here before; and the man who made my bodhran also
recommended lanolin for the goatskin drum head. Kevin would like some for
his bookbinding business, too. We've tried his leather suppliers and the
pharmacies in Giant, Safeway, Shoppers and CVS. No pure lanolin. "Oh, we
used to carry that, but nobody wants it any more. We haven't sold that for
years."

Anyway, I'm content with commercial cork grease for the clarinet and
Neatsfoot oil for the drum. Just curious about whether I shouldn't be so
nonchalant about smearing cork grease on my lip. Oh well, I haven't grown
tusks and long, hairy ear flaps yet....
