Bill, a discussion on any topic --- music or biology or whatever ---
suffers if facts are mislabelled.

When you wrote: "I just want to see someone have the honesty to
acknowledge that homosexuality IS a deviation from the norm", you have
confused two different meanings of "norm".

One meaning is : "A majority of members of the population are
<whatever>".

The other meaning is: "A normally distributed population includes
<number> members who are <whatever>."

By confusing these two meanings, you are asserting that a quality which
occurs in every "natural" population in nature is unnatural.

Again, I'm not arguing that this is either good or bad, but you need to
choose one meaning or the other for "norm". The norm *IS* that every
population in nature includes both of the sexual preferences. 'Good'
or 'Bad' is a separate issue.
