I guess it depends upon where you see the visual system ending and the
brain beginning. Indeed, the brain DOES filter out a lot of unnecessary
information from the eyes, which is one of the things it was designed to
do. Biologically.

Yep. Fascinating. Irrelevant, but fascinating. Similar to how some
people view their own reproductive organs. :-)
