It's sad that an industry that thrives on the promise of ever greater
explicitness should have appropriated adult to euphemistically describe its
products. But I wonder whose fault it is. It could be the fault of prudes
who will be offended by a clear lable, but will turn a blind eye to an
innocuous sign.

In public libraries (in the UK anyway) the library is, not unnaturally
divided into adult and children's sections, and I have heard tall of emails
being filtered out because of a perfectly proper reference to adult
material.

I meant adult in the sense of intelligent.....

And also not to be confused with any activities that occur in the movie
_Trainspotting_. "adult interest in railways" ?? Do we need to define
"adult"? Are we thinking the engineer or conductor or someone who's
fantasizing about the train rushing into a tunnel?
