Now you've really done it !!!

I still have semi-nightmares about my 4th grade English teacher, who was
born in England and who came to the U.S. after 50 years and who never
lost what I think of as the "King's English" accent. She was a nice
lady --- one of the nicest actually --- but whenever a certain kid was
having trouble with grammar, she would gently but firmy lower her fist
to the table and she would say:

"Ormond, think !! E-N-G-L-I-S-H M-A-K-E-S S-E-N-S-E !"
