It is always an advantage for an editor to be able to advertise his work
as Urtext or even Urtext edition, even should it be nothing of the sort.

The word "Urtext" comes from the work "Ur" meaning the origin, the
original, the source place from which all mankind comes.

But in the strictest sense, it can only be used when the source for the
edition is the manuscript.
