I spent time playing one at the December MidWest clinic in Chicago. It
was a great instrument with a rich sound which maintained a remarkable
eveness throughout the registers. They are expensive yet cheaper than a
great oboe! The extra key as I remember, is a vent key for the low E/B
and NOT an entire instrument in "another" key!

Musically yours,
Dave

Has anyone played one of these yet? What is the feeling of those who
have?

As I understand there is a new key - it occurs to me that those who play
instruments other than the Bb/A will find a new cause for confusion -
any ideas anyone?
